Who are we?

Well, "we" isn't exactly correct. Flock Travel was created by one person, Cecil Meeks.
However, I couldn't have done it without the support of my wife.

My story...

Years ago, when I was single, I loved to travel. Especially Europe. I didn't make much money at the time and I don't believe in financing a vacation so I always had to be very careful planning my trips.

I kept a travel diary that I would use to plan my trips. As I would research my destinations, I would record such things as hotel costs, estimated meal costs, train travel, etc.

This was a lot of fun for me because I knew I had "X" number of dollars to travel with and if I came in under budget, I would have more money for the next trip. I never sacrificed fun to be cheap but budgeting my trips this way really helped me travel to other places.

Fast-forward several years later and I now have a wife and kids. So a while back, I decided to research a family trip to London and Paris. I get out my travel diary and start researching.
Shortly into my research, I realized that traveling with a family is MUCH different. For example, there are different prices for train tickets for various age groups. Museum passes have tiered pricing too.
I knew there had to be a better way to track and plan for family trips.

And that's when Flock Travel was born. It was born to solve a real problem I had. A need to plan, budget and record expenses for small groups of people traveling.

What you see today is only the first "launch" version. It's basic at the moment. But there is more coming.
I have several features that I will be rolling out in the near future that will really help on the planning phase of your trips.

One more thing...
While the idea for Flock Travel was inspired from my family, there will be a corporate side as well.
That is also coming soon. But never fear, Flock Travel will always be free for families.
